Watermelon. Cantaloupe. Mint. Grapes. These are the tastes of summer. Everyone is familiar with the summer fruit salad, melons and fruits tossed together in a bowl, fresh and juicy. This recipe is a fresh twist on a summer classic.
What you need:
Use a melon baller on the watermelon and the cantaloupe (or cut it into chunks). If children will be eating the salad, quarter the grapes to prevent choking. Add any other types of fruit you want in the salad. Chop up about 10 mint leaves (for a medium sized watermelon). Toss the mint with the fruit. Add the juice of 2-3 limes to the bowl. Toss. Chill and serve.
Be sure to pick up your fresh fruit and mint at the Lansdale Farmers Market to enjoy this simple summer recipe.
